Bryan Stow will be moved to San Francisco hospital

Beaten paramedic’s sister says her family is considering the move

Santa Cruz Sentinel

SANTA CRUZ — The medical team for injured Giants fan Bryan Stow announced Friday that Stow’s condition would allow him to be transferred to San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center as early as Monday.

Los Angeles-based hospital spokeswoman Rose Saca cautioned in a statement that Stow’s overall condition remains critical, and that he remains in a coma.

In a statement on the family’s website, the move was termed “bittersweet.”

Stow has been responding to stimuli and opening his eyes, the family states.

The 42-year-old father of two works as a paramedic in Santa Clara County. He suffered a severe skull fracture after two men came up behind him and beat and kicked him as he and friends were leaving Dodger Stadium after the season opener on March 31.

He has been in a medically induced coma since, though doctors have tried to reduce the medication several times.
