This week’s Photo of the Week comes from Greenwich Emergency Medical Services (GEMS) in Connecticut, which brought its “haunted ambulance” on a tour around the community to bring treats and terror to community members for Halloween.

For kids who may not be able to go trick-or-treating door-to-door this year due to COVID-19, GEMS came to them instead, handing out nut-free, pre-packaged and wiped down candy for a safe and happy holiday celebration, according to the Greenwich Free Press.

GEMS staff dressed in costume for the occasion, and kids got a hair-raising look inside the rig filled with skeletons, spiders and specters, complete with a fog machine for an eerie atmosphere. The Greenwich Housing Authority made a donation GEMS as thanks for putting on the festive event for its residents.
