NEW YORK CITY — An empty ambulance about to be towed burst into flames outside St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital’s emergency room in New York City.
Some feared the oxygen tanks inside might explode, according to DNAInfo.com.
The tow truck driver was apparently getting ready to transport the ambulance to a repair shop when he noticed smoke from under the hood, the report said.
The driver doused the flames with a fire extinguisher, but flames engulfed the ambulance when he lifted the hood
