MILFORD, Mass. — The sudden death of a Massachusetts firefighter-EMT is being investigated by the county’s district attorney’s office.
Milford Fire Department Firefighter-EMT Patrick W. Evans, 37, died suddenly on Sunday, according to the Milford Permanent Firefighters Association Local 2140.
Further details about Evans’ death was not released.
The Worcester County District Attorney’s Office has assigned detectives to investigate the death, according to WHDH.
Milford Fire Chief William J. Touhey Jr., said any further comment on Evans’ death would come from the district attorney’s office.
Evans served with the Milford Fire Department for 13 years and was an active member of Massachusetts’ District 3 Haz-Mat Team and District 14 Technical Rescue Team.
He is survived by his wife and three children.
