TULSA — Firefighters in Tulsa are the latest to join a movement honoring a Texas boy diagnosed with terminal cancer.
The latest in a series of photo tributes for Dyrk Burcie, the 4-year-old son of a Dallas firefighter, the Okla. firefighters spelled out D-Y-R-K in an Oklahoma waterway just before they graduated from fire academy, according to News on 6.
This photo joins myriad others that have even gone international – ranging from spelling Dyrk’s name in bunker gear and hoses on an airplane carrier at sea and in fire stations from Australia to Iraq.
