LODD: Fla. firefighter-paramedic dies after being found unresponsive

HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. — A firefighter-paramedic died Monday night after being found unresponsive at a fire station.

WTSP reported that Steven Terry was found by a crew, who performed lifesaving measures on him, before he was transported to the hospital where he later died.

Terry was a firefighter-paramedic for almost 25 years, as well as an active member of the Army National Guard where he was most recently a First Sergeant. He began his career in 1993 at Pasco County Fire Rescue and moved on to become a member of Hernando County Fire Rescue.

Terry leaves behind his wife and sons.
