ATLANTA — Fire officials say an SUV has crashed into an Atlanta area barbershop, injuring five people, including two critically.
Atlanta Fire and Rescue Capt. Jolyon (JOH-lee-ahn) Bundrige says the car drove all the way into the shop Thursday afternoon and firefighters had to provide structural support to keep the building from collapsing.
Bundrige says four of the victims were inside the shop at the time and have been taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. The other victim was a passenger in the vehicle that crashed into the shop.
Bundrige did not have an update on their conditions.
The cause of the crash wasn’t immediately known and it’s unclear if any charges will be filed. Atlanta police did not immediately return calls seeking more information.
