MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Myrtle Beach police are investigating a report that two men were stabbed during a robbery attempt while they walked on the beach, according to a police report.

The victims, two 25-year-old men, told police they were stabbed by a man who approached them and tried to rob them while they walked on the beach about 2 a.m. Tuesday in the area of 75th Avenue North and the beach, according to the report.

One victim told police the robber had a knife and a struggle occurred during the robbery attempt and they both were stabbed by the robber, according to the report. EMS came and took the victims to a local hospital for treatment.

Officers searched the area and found the suspect and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries, according to the report. Details about the extent of the injuries to the victims and the suspect were not listed in the report.
