WICHITA FALLS, Texas — For years he dedicated his life to saving others lives, and because of burns he suffered after a horrific helicopter crash early this month in Wichita Falls, he ultimately lost his.
Fifty-one year-old Johan van der Colff IV lost his battle for life last week at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Thursday family, friends and coworkers gathered at First Baptist Church in Wichita Falls to pay tribute to that life of service.
Pete Wolf, regional director of Air Evac base operations, says, “He was an outgoing person. He enjoyed people. He enjoyed mentoring, teaching new employees.”
