HARKER HEIGHTS, Texas — Firefighter-EMT Cole Hagen Simmons died early Tuesday in a vehicle accident while off duty, the City of Harker Heights and the Harker Heights Fire Department said in a news release.
Simmons had been with the department since August and is said to have immediately made a positive impression.
The department asked for thoughts and prayers for his family.
