CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Midland Fire and Rescue’s public information officer announced that one of the four people killed in a Charlotte vehicle crash was Firefighter-EMT Leann Gray.
Gray, 27, was a passenger in a car involved in a vehicle wreck with a motorcycle, the Independent Tribune reported. The motorcycle driver, David Wooten, 22, struck the car as it was attempting to make a U-turn.
When police officers arrived on the scene, they found four unresponsive victims and two others with minor injuries. Gray and Wooten were pronounced dead at the scene.
She is survived by her 8-year-old son.
