FONTANA, Calif. — A woman is fighting for her life after being shot — allegedly by her boyfriend, who then carjacked someone and fled to Los Angeles where he reportedly shot himself twice at the back gate of a Los Angeles police station late Thursday night.

Kayvon Isaccs, 25, was taken to a Los Angeles hospital, where he was in stable condition, said LAPD Officer Aareon Jefferson.

Just before 10:30 p.m., Fontana investigators say Isaccs and his 22-year-old girlfriend were fighting in a home in the 18200 block of Orange Way. During that argument, Isaccs shot the woman once and ran off, according to a police statement.

Paramedics took the wounded woman to the hospital. She is in critical condition.

While officers were at the Orange Way home investigating the shooting, they learned Isaccs allegedly carjacked someone about two blocks away in the 8700 block of Locust Avenue, officials said.

Isaccs reportedly drove from Fontana to the South Los Angeles area’s LAPD’s 77th Division Station, 7600 S. Broadway, where Fontana police say he shot himself twice.

Fontana police detectives are currently investigating the shooting. Anyone with further information can call the Fontana Police Department at 909-350-7700.
