PERRY COUNTY, Ky. — Colleagues honored a fallen EMT by escorting her body back to her hometown.
Tonya Pratt, 33, died unexpectedly last week; she served the Perry County Ambulance service for 11 years, reported WYMT.
“All of these people present here today actually shows how much she was loved by everyone in this community,” Jason Taylor, the service’s director, said. “She was respected by every EMT and first responder in Perry County.”
A medical examiner will perform an autopsy to determine Pratt’s cause of death.
“She was always there for anyone that needed help of any kind,” Taylor said.
