SAN FRANCISCO — EMS1.com, a leading online resource for EMS personnel, today announced it has formed a strategic partnership with the National Association of Emergency Medical Services Educators (NAEMSE), dedicated to inspiring excellence in EMS education and lifelong learning, to promote both organizations within the EMS market.
The mission of the partnership is to promote EMS education by leveraging each organization’s key strengths in providing educational information and resources to the EMS community. EMS1 will provide comprehensive online services to NAEMSE and promote the organization across its network of sites, which also includes EMSConnect.com, Paramedic.com, EMSGrantsHelp.com and ParamedicTV.com. In return, NAEMSE will promote EMS1 and its initiatives to its members.
As part of the partnership, EMS1 recently completed a dramatic redesign of the NAEMSE web site (NAEMSE.org), aimed at providing an online platform to enable the organization to more effectively pursue its mission in the EMS community. The new site features major improvements to the site’s overall look and feel and navigation structure, providing a much cleaner template for visitors to interact with the organization and locate information. EMS1 is also providing ongoing support in the day-to-day management of the site.
“EMS1 has proven in a short amount of time that they have not only a great understanding of the EMS market, but the sophistication to intelligently utilize online technologies to reach the EMS community in a meaningful way,” said Angel Burba, president of NAEMSE. “Because of this expertise, we felt EMS1 was the natural fit to help grow our organization online. We are very excited to be working with them to provide resources that will benefit the EMS education community at large.”
In addition to the redesign of NAEMSE.org, EMS1 will promote NAEMSE’s initiatives through various means, including: original video development, presence in various locations across EMS1.com, banner advertising, and distributing original NAEMSE content to EMS1 members. In return, NAEMSE will deliver EMS1 news and announcements on NAEMSE.org and provide exposure for EMS1 in the NAEMSE eNewsletter.
“As the thought leader in EMS education, NAEMSE has done a tremendous job leading the development of curriculum across all segments of EMS,” said Kris Kaull, NREMT-P, EMS1 Network Online Director. “We are happy to be able to contribute our recognized expertise in online media and resources to help further their mission of inspiring excellence in EMS education. By working together, the ultimate benefit is received by the EMT or paramedic on the street who is providing the best medicine during the most trying circumstances.”
In 2008, EMS1 and its network of EMS-focused web sites continued to strengthen its standing as the fastest-growing online resource for EMS news, information and product research, with a 198% one-year growth in overall web site visits and the addition of 10,000 registered members, bringing EMS1’s total membership to 46,000.
