ROCKVILLE, Md.- Bedside ultrasound has been identified as a vital diagnostic tool in triaging and treating patients with COVID-19. To increase the capacity to respond to COVID-19, the Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Certification Academy is announcing a partnership with Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute to establish a new training bundle to include online education followed by a certificate assessment. This partnership will allow for frontline healthcare providers to obtain high quality POCUS education, while also validating their proficiency through distinguished credentials.
The training bundle is offered completely online and on demand. Learners can expect to receive targeted modules on the ultrasound fundamentals, lung pathologies and applicable scanning techniques for use in the field. This training bundle will culminate with a Lung POCUS certificate which will increase properly trained and certified staff capacity to aid in the response to COVID-19.
