Lakeville, MN - ImageTrend, Inc. announced it is the first to receive NEMSIS (National Emergency Medical Services Information System) version 3 compliance certification for the company’s ImageTrend Elite platform. The software was tested to receive and process data, a critical step toward offering a statewide NEMSIS version 3 compliant solution. With the transition to NEMSIS version 3, states will not only be able to satisfy new federal reporting requirements, but also have more precise data available for their own analysis.

“For our customers looking to upgrade to a NEMSIS 3 compliant solution, this is exciting news,” said Joe Graw, Director of Support and Implementation at ImageTrend, Inc. “We have a few early adopters as the industry transitions into the new reporting standard, and we anticipate the rest to make the switch soon thereafter.”

The version 3 data standard is part of NEMSIS’ larger plan to enhance reporting and data exchange between EMS providers and hospitals. ImageTrend’s HIE (Health Information Exchange) integrations will have access to even more data points that can be shared among entities in the pursuit of better and more efficient patient care.

ImageTrend is the leading ePCR (Electronic Patient Care Reporting) solution provider, with more than 30 statewide systems currently using the NEMSIS version 2 standard. ImageTrend has offered NEMSIS version 2 Gold Compliant solutions since 2006. In all, well over half of all EMS incidents reported in the U.S. flow through ImageTrend’s state-of-the-art secure cloud.
