Amanda Whaley is taking over the design and architecture of MedaPoint’s cutting-edge pre-hospital Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)
Amanda will be managing the development and deployment of web and mobile applications, and recruiting strong technical talent for the growing company. Amanda brings more than 15 years of experience in application solution development to the MedaPoint team. During her career, she has worked at every level of creating, coding and designing web applications. Her passion for bringing different technologies together to solve business problems is evident in her varied experience.
Before joining MedaPoint, Amanda served as Director of Technical Services for developerprogram.com. In this role, she provided developer insight to Fortune 500 companies including Cisco, Dell, Kodak, Sprint, Orange and Vodafone. Amanda was integral in their efforts to design APIs and to attract and engage mobile and web application developers.
Prior to her work at developerprogram.com, Amanda led a team to architect and build a custom Content and Metadata Management system targeted at companies running developer programs. This system is now used by some of the world’s largest developer programs, including Vodafone, Sprint, and T-Mobile.
Amanda has also served as a full-time professor of Computer Science at Austin Community College where she created and designed a new web programming degree track. Before joining the ACC faculty, she helped create a custom web portal for the Dell Premier Partner program.
Amanda holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Amanda is an active member of the Austin Community College Computer Studies advisory board and regularly contributes to curriculum development efforts at ACC.
