CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. — Two Pennsylvania EMS providers were placed on leave for not wearing masks while on duty.

East Hills Ambulance Manager Donald Gawel told WJAC that the two part-time employees were disciplined for breaking protocol by removing their masks.

Gawel said most company personnel follow the guidelines, which he says are crucial to protect providers and patients from potential COVID-19 exposure.

Officials said the employees are still on leave after the reported PPE violation that occurred last week.
