Emergency medical services education provider receives ‘Hot Products’ recognition
BROOKFIELD, Wis. — Distance CME by OnCourse Learning has been recognized as one of 30 Hot Products for 2016 by the nation’s leading journal for emergency medical services professionals.
A top education provider for EMS practitioners, Distance CME was named to the list by JEMS, the Journal of Emergency Medical Services.

Each of the products was judged on the basis of originality, functionality, ease of use and EMS industry need.
McConnell helped start the company in 2010 after a friend working as a civilian paramedic in the Middle East noted all of his certifications were lapsing while he was overseas.
JEMS recognized Distance CME for providing “all-in-one educational courses that include more than 400 hours of live online course hours per month, recertification courses, and separate programs for medical, trauma, critical care, obstetrics/pediatrics, respiratory and more.”
A panel of eight judges comprised of field providers, educators, managers and physicians reviewed and rated 61 products at the annual EMS Today convention, which took place in February in Baltimore, to come up with the Hot Products list.
“The review team was impressed with the selection of offerings from Distance CME,” said lead judge Fran Hildwine, BS, NRP.
