SOUTHAMPTON, Mass. — The state gave the Southampton Fire Department approval to restart its paramedic-level ambulance services after an inspection Friday.
“It went great, as expected,” Fire Chief John Workman said of the visit by officials from the state Department of Public Health Office of Emergency Medical Services. “We’re excited to be back serving the community.”
The paramedic services will restart as soon as Cooley Dickinson Hospital officials sign the necessary paperwork, which Workman expects to happen by Monday.
