RICHMOND, Va. — In Henrico emergency workers happened to be at the right place at the right time early Sunday morning. John parker a contractor working with VDOT had a heart attack and collapsed, while working an accident on I-64.
“We shocked him one time with his heart monitor and did a few seconds of CPR and he miraculously woke up,” Lieutenant Curtis Wood said.
Fire officials say that Parker was setting up cones in the road near an accident site on I-64 when he collapsed suffering from a heart attack. Wood and his team rushed to help him out quickly using a heart monitor to save his life.
