MANCHESTER, N.H. — Police in New Hampshire say a good Samaritan and a police officer broke a car window to pull out an unconscious woman who crashed and performed CPR until an emergency crew arrived.
Manchester Police Officer Jared Yaris was working at a construction site Tuesday morning when passerby Edward Rocha alerted him to the crash. The woman had struck a utility pole.
The men pulled her out of the driver’s seat and began chest compressions.
Emergency personnel arrived and treated the woman and took her to a hospital. Her condition was unknown Wednesday. She was later identified as 29-year-old Amanda Reilly, of Manchester.
Reilly was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. It wasn’t immediately known if she had a lawyer.
