Top EMS Leaders to Converge in Exclusive Forum
PLATTE CITY, Mos.—Fitch & Associates, in association with The Coalition of Advanced Emergency Medical Systems (CAEMS) and Sunstar Emergency Medical Services, announces the Pinnacle 2006 EMS Leadership Conference, to be held July 31 through August 2, 2006 at the Don CeSar Beach Resort at St. Pete Beach in Pinellas County, Florida. The first exclusive management forum designed to address the most important issues facing EMS leadership, Pinnacle uses case studies and examples to showcase real-world solutions.
“EMS systems are bending—and in some cases breaking—under the strain of rising costs, reduced subsidies and increasing service expectations,” said Pinnacle program chair Jay Fitch, PhD. “Pinnacle will allow EMS leaders to explore advanced business and operational practices, network with people at the leading edge of the profession, and learn real-world strategies they can put to use right away,” he added.
As a special event, Pinnacle 2006 will bring together, for the first time in public, two nationally recognized EMS authors and educators, Bryan Bledsoe, DO, and Mike Taigman, to debate their famously opposing positions on the effectiveness of System Status Management (SSM) to reduce response times and improve patient care.
The symposium offers specialized tracks for executives, communications/operations, and special interest topics. A tour of Pinellas County’s Sunstar EMS center provides a real-world example of the successful implementation of the most sophisticated technology and processes to effectively provide advanced life support service to Florida’s most densely populated county.
In addition to its prestigious faculty, Pinnacle is expected to attract many of the nation’s top EMS leaders, representing public and private systems across the country.
