PORTLAND, Ore. — Criminal charges are piling up against a former A-M-R paramedic who’s accused of sexually abusing women in ambulances.
Lazzie Haszard now faces sevn different counts of sexual abuse. He was arrested December 10th, after a woman accused him of molesting her while she was being carried to the hospital in an ambulance. Since then, other accusers have come forward.
One of them, Betty Rotting, says she was abused a full year earlier - in December of 2006 - and complained about it to A-M-R. Rotting says the ambulance company never even called her back. “Why didn’t they do anything after I said something”? she asked. The company fired Haszard after his recent arrest.
