In short, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Distance Learning and Telemedicine Grant Program (DLT) is designed to provide access to healthcare resources that benefit rural communities. Of specific interest, this year’s program has prioritized $1.6 million dollars specifically for Mobile Telemedicine (communications upgrades between ambulances, emergency transportation vehicles, and medical facilities) in rural areas. Awards will range from $50k-$500K for 3-year programs. The grant has a July 17th deadline, so act quickly!
