LAKEBAY, Wash. — An ambulance was struck by a hit-and-run driver Friday night on the Key Peninsula, injuring a paramedic who was inside the ambulance tending a patient from a previous collision.
Officials said the accident happened at about 11 p.m. Friday in 11900 block of State Route 302 on the rural Key Peninsula.
The ambulance was enroute to a Tacoma trauma hospital, transporting a man injured in a previous head-on collision between a car a pickup at the intersection of Key Peninsula Highway and 134th Avenue.
