BEAVERTON, Ore. — This morning, Medical Teams International volunteers were headed to the flood-soaked communities of Sheridan and Mist to clean-up homes damaged in the recent storm.
Volunteers equipped with buckets, bleach and mops will help rip out carpets, remove damaged furniture and tear-down drywall.
Teams are expected to work through the weekend in these communities with tentative plans to continue next week.
Medical Teams International is also providing cleaning supplies for Beaverton-based Compassion First which is working in Vernonia.
Providence Medical Group is bringing in their own mobile medical unit in Vernonia to fill the gap while their flood-damaged clinic is cleaned up.
