LV medic suffers broken leg after being rear-ended

CLARK COUNTY, Nev. — A paramedic suffered a broken leg when her ambulance was rear-ended by another vehicle near Rainbow Boulevard and Spring Valley Parkway early Monday.

The driver of the second vehicle was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of felony driving under the influence, Las Vegas police said.

The paramedic had stopped near the intersection to help a stranded motorist around 5:30 a.m. She was returning to the passenger side of the ambulance when the crash occurred, police Lt. L. Chavez said.
