EMTs out of hospital after ambulance, car collide

The car went through a stop sign early Saturday morning and hit the ambulance, causing it to flip onto its side and slide down the road

CLARK COUNTY, Wis. — Two EMTs have been released from the hospital after the ambulance they were riding in was struck by an alleged drunk driver Saturday morning.

WQOW reported that 35-year-old Kevin Colby has been arrested on suspicion of DWI. Colby drove his car through a stop sign and hit the ambulance, causing it to flip onto its side and slide down the road, according to the report.

The driver of the ambulance was not injured, but the two EMTs riding in the back were taken to the hospital, according to the report. There were no patients inside the ambulance, but Colby’s passenger was also taken to the hospital.

The EMTs and Colby were treated and released Sunday night, but Colby’s passenger was admitted overnight for observation, according to the report.
