TWINSBURG TWP., Ohio — A 6-pound, 13-ounce baby boy took his first breaths early Sunday morning after he was delivered in the back of a Twinsburg Fire Department EMS ambulance traveling down Hadden Road.
Paramedics had been on the way to Hillcrest Hospital, but switched to the Cleveland Clinic emergency department in Twinsburg when the delivery became imminent, according to the Twinsburg Fire Department.
Paramedics Alan Sibits and Earl Wilson delivered the boy at 4:56 a.m. in the back of the ambulance.
Mother and baby are doing well, according to the fire department.
