SALINE COUNTY, Kan. — A man being arrested on a warrant for drug charges Thursday at a house near the intersection of Fifth and South streets was being medically evaluated after he ran into a utility pole while attempting to escape.
Capt. Brian Shea of the Saline County Sheriff’s Office said deputies had Michael D. Georage handcuffed on the front porch when he took off running toward an alley behind the house, hit the pole and skidded across the concrete.
Georage, who was among Saline County’s 48 Most Wanted for January, was loaded into an ambulance after the incident. He is accused of possessing methamphetamine and marijuana and driving with a suspended driver’s license.
