HURON VALLEY, Mich. — Emergency medical services workers from Huron Valley Ambulance recently filed a petition with the National Labor Relations Board in Detroit to form their own union with United EMS Workers – American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees.

Trish McGrail, an HVA paramedic, said that she started the union talk with a few co-workers to get their feedback about the process. The reason she began the movement was to improve working conditions for the EMTs and paramedics, she said.
