MACON, Ga. — Two Georgia EMS agencies have formed a nonprofit together to enhance the emergency medical response in the middle of Georgia.
Navicent Health Emergency Medical Services and Mid Georgia Ambulance have formed ConnectHealth, The Telegraph reported.
The medical director of trauma services at Navicent Health, Dr. Dennis Ashley, will serve as medical director of the new organization.
The two EMS agencies will now be able to serve four counties through the new organization.
ConnectHealth will be led by a new board of directors, with representation from both organizations. Leaders from the two agencies plan to integrate the organizations by the end of the year.
