HOUSTON —An EMT who happened to pass by a vehicle crash stopped to save the critically injured victims.
ABC13 reported that EMT Christopher Nance was passing by the crash when he jumped into action before an EMS crew could arrive.
“I heard the crash and I looked over and saw two people lying on the ground, and then there was a panic,” Nance said. “So I came over with my EMT and safety training and began directing people, because no one knew what to do.”
Nance used his experience with the Texas National Guard to assess the victims, check their vitals and put a neck brace on one of the victims.
The victims were then transported to the hospital in critical condition. The incident is currently under investigation.
