HARVARD, Ill. — A woman was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated battery after allegedly spitting on and punching a firefighter-paramedic, the Lake & McHenry Scanner reported.
A crew from the Harvard Fire Protection District had responded to a call at the Metra station where police were interacting with the woman, Kathleen E. Olson, 64, who they said needed a psychiatric evaluation.
A criminal complaint claims that she spat on a firefighter-paramedic’s hand as he guarded his face and punched the first responder in the chest with a fist.
She was transported to a hospital. After being released from the hospital Wednesday, police arrested her.
