LORAIN, Ohio — An Ohio man is accused of attempting to assault an EMS provider and punching a police officer in an emergency room on Saturday.
Police say they were called to a report of a fight during a party and found Mark Krajeski Jr. passed out on the ground after being pushed down by other partygoers who accused him of putting his hands on a woman, according to The Morning Journal.
When officers and EMS personnel attempted to assist Krajeski, he resisted and was ultimately restrained and transported to the hospital, officials said. Police say Krajeski was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
At the emergency room, Krajeski allegedly tried to uppercut one of the EMS providers, but missed and only hit the provider’s hat, police said. An officer then tried to pin Krajeski down and was punched by the suspect, according to a police report.
Krajeski was later transported to Lorain County Jail and charged with assault on a police officer and assault on medical personnel, which are both fourth-degree felonies.
