GAINESVILLE, Ga. — A Gainesville man is accused of pointing a gun at members of Hall County Fire Rescue after asking for painkillers on Monday, the Gainesville Times reported.
Keith Bailey, 76, has been charged with four counts of aggravated assault on a public safety officer.
Hall County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Ryan Daly said that Bailey was asking for pain relief while EMS providers were trying to diagnose him at his home.
“At that point is when he pulled a gun on them,” Daly said. “He wanted morphine is what he was asking for.”
The first responders called for police assistance and waited in their vehicles.
Police arrived and took the man into custody. It is not clear whether he received any further medical attention.
