KISSIMMEE, Fla. — A firefighter-EMT was arrested after driving drunk with her 3-year-old daughter in the car.

WFTV.com reported that firefighter-EMT Samantha Jean Lopez was driving with a blood-alcohol concentration twice the legal limit; it’s the second time she’s been charged with DUI within a month.

She was first arrested March 24 after rear-ending a car on her way to pick up her daughter. She was arrested again April 26 when an officer reported seeing her driving erratically and “nearly causing several collisions.”

Officers also reported finding two small empty bottles of wine in Lopez’s car, along with two unopened bottles, according to the report.

In between the first and second arrests, the Kissimmee Fire Department said Lopez was allowed to continue her duties as a firefighter-EMT.

No information was provided on what disciplinary action would be taken at the department.
