ATLANTA — Another reported overdose could be related to a trend of fake Percocet incidents.
“The poison center received a report this morning about an overdose possibly related to the cluster we have seen over the past week,” the Georgia Department of Public Health said.
11 Alive reported that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is analyzing the pills, which were collected as evidence in the overdose cases.
Last week, the GBI’s crime lab determined the yellow pills that read “Percocet” are made from two synthetic opioids.
Navicent Health Chief Medical Officer Christopher Hendry said four deaths could be related to the pills.
