MONTEREY, Calif. — A Monterey County paramedic was arrested after investigators searched her home and found vials of morphine reported stolen from an ambulance, Mercury News reports.
Deborah Bennet, 46, was arrested after police got a warrant to search her residence for a case involving stolen cars recently recovered from the home, the county sheriff’s office told the newspaper. The Monterey county and Santa Cruz county auto theft task forces recovered a firearm and ammunition, heroin and methamphetamine, and several vials of morphine that had been reported stolen from the ambulance usually driver by Bennet.
Her roommates Michael Pipitone, 52, and Jennifer Cooke, 32, were also arrested.
