BROOKE COUNTY, W.Va. — A paramedic and an EMT were assaulted Wednesday after administering Narcan to a man who attacked them and then fled.
Scott Gill was arrested after a two-hour manhunt, WTOV9.com reports.
EMS responded after a friend found Gill along railroad tracks on the West Virginia side of the Ohio River and called 911. EMT’s gave him Narcan, commonly used to revive victims of an opiate overdose, and he became violent — one of the side effects of the drug.
Gill began attacking a paramedic and EMT, and fled into the woods. Neither was seriously injured.
