WASHINGTON — The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has made federal disaster assistance available to the state of Texas in order to help areas affected by Hurricane Harvey.
President Trump’s approval made federal funding available for those in Bee, Goliad, Kleberg, Nueces, San Patricio and Refugio counties. The funding can be used for temporary housing, home repairs, low-cost loans and other resources needed to recover from the disaster.
Kevin Hannes was named federal coordinating officer for federal recovery operations in the area.
Individuals and business owners can apply for assistance at www.DisasterAssistance.org, or call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362).
