LODD: Texas EMT/FF dies after collision with semi

The EMT was driving the ambulance at the time of the rear-end collision; the condition of other patients has not been released

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas — Texas EMT/FF Daniel Hampton died after his ambulance collided with a semi Friday.

The rear-end collision happened around 9:10 p.m. according to information from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and Department of Public Safety reported by KVUE.

Hampton was identified in a Saturday morning statement from the Burnet Fire Department.

The patient, being transported at the time of the collision, and Hampton’s paramedic partner were transported to another hospital. The conditions of that patient, as well as the other people involved in the collision, have not been released, reported KXAN.

The collision is under investigation.
