NAEMT Hires New Communications Manager

Dinan Schneider plans to enhance association’s communications programs

Clinton, Miss. — The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) has hired Rebecca Dinan Schneider of Waukesha, Wis., as its new communications manager.

Dinan Schneider possesses more than 17 years of experience working in marketing and communications as well as key related experience managing publications and other communications efforts for a national medical specialty society.

She most recently served as a marketing consultant for a large global organization and as Director of Communications for Catholic Knights, a financial services and membership organization. In the past, she has served as publications manager and managing editor for the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.

“I am excited and pleased to work with NAEMT staff as well as its leadership and members to enhance the association’s existing communications programs and introduce new communications vehicles to better reach members,” says Dinan Schneider.

“Enhanced communications programs can help in retaining current members and attracting new ones.”

Dinan Schneider has won 20 awards over her career, including two Gold Circle Awards from the American Society of Association Executives and a Bronze Anvil from the national Public Relations Society of America, as well as many regional awards. She holds a B.A. in English and Communications from St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wis., and has taken extensive continuing education classes in publications and graphic design.

Formed in 1975 and today nearly 25,000 members strong, NAEMT is the nation’s only organization solely dedicated to representing the professional interests of EMS practitioners, including paramedics, emergency medical technicians, first responders and other professionals working in pre-hospital emergency medicine. NAEMT members work in all sectors of EMS, including government service agencies, fire departments, hospital-based ambulance services, private companies, industrial and special operations settings, and in the military.
