BOULDER, Colo. — Medics revived a 13-year-old Bolder Boulder runner who went into cardiac arrest at the Folsom Field finish line Monday morning.

Dr. Todd Dorfman, a Boulder Community Hospital emergency physician who oversees the race’s medical coverage, told The Daily Camera Monday that the boy was “doing quite well.”

“He was very fortunate, frankly, for this to happen where we could respond to him within a few seconds,” Dorfman told The Camera. He said nurses and medics near the finish line responded immediately and restarted his heart within a couple of minutes before rushing him to the heart catheterization lab at Boulder Community Hospital.
