ATLANTA — A hazmat incident involving possible carbon monoxide poisoning at an Atlanta daycare facility led to 16 children and three adults being transported to the hospital.
Officials said a leak from a gas furnace was the likely cause of the exposure, but that the incident is still under investigation, WSB-TV reported.
Atlanta Fire Rescue said the patients who were transported had non-life-threatening symptoms.
At least 17 children and four adults were at the daycare at the time of the Monday night incident and evaluated for possible carbon monoxide poisoning, according to fire officials.
