SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. — An EMS agency made sure a man with cancer got his Christmas wish of making more family memories by planning a night to remember.

According to a Facebook post by Sedgwick County Government, Sedgwick County EMS provider Renee Moraine’s son Caleb was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare form of pediatric bone cancer, when he was 16.

After four years of battling the disease, the cancer has returned. Caleb’s wish for the holiday season was to make more memories with his family. The EMS agency planned a trip for Caleb and his family to attend the Illuminations at Botanica, a holiday light show.

EMS providers transported Caleb in an ambulance and wheeled him around to each display so that the family could enjoy the evening together.
