HAMPTON, N.H. — The Seacoast is mourning the loss of Hampton firefighter Kyle Jameson, who has died after a year-long battle with non-Hodgkins lymphoma.
Jameson died Sunday at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City. He is survived by his wife Christine and son Liam, who was born last June. He was diagnosed with lymphoma last spring at 32 years old, and his cancer went into remission that June. In October, he learned he would need a bone marrow transplant and went to New York City for treatment with his family.
Jameson’s fire brothers and members of the Hampton and Seacoast community rallied around the Jameson family when he was diagnosed. In addition to holding numerous fundraisers, his fellow firefighters joined him on his trips to doctor appointments, including in New York City.

Fire departments from around New Hampshire and other parts of New England sent their prayers and respects to the Jameson family on social media. The words “rest in peace brother FF Kyle Jameson” ran on the sign outside the Derry Fire Department where Jameson previously worked.
The Facebook page “Team Jameson Fights T-PLL” was flooded with dozens of posts and hundreds of comments sending the Jameson family support Sunday.
Hampton Fire Chief Jameson Ayotte posted Sunday the message announcing the news of Jameson’s passing, calling him a “true Warrior.”
“Kyle waged an epic battle against insurmountable odds and did so with grace and class,” Ayotte wrote. “We are deeply saddened by his loss, but we have been made infinitely better by having had the chance to know such a wonderful human being.”
