MELBOURNE, Australia — Two mothers have been sent to jail after pleading guilty to a brutal, alcohol-fueled attack on a veteran paramedic.
9News reported that Caris Underwood, mother of two, and Amanda Warren, mother of four, attacked paramedic Paul Judd, 61, while he was treating an overdose patient in March 2016. The two kicked, punched and stomped on him, resulting in multiple surgeries and a broken foot.
Paramedic Chenaye Bentley, who was also on the scene and was punched in the head when she tried to pull the women away, said she was “consumed by fear” after the incident.
The two women were intoxicated when they called for help after spotting a man lying in the street, and the attack began when the paramedics asked them to make room so they could treat the patient.
