CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. — The 18-year-old man suspected of shooting and wounding two women at a community college in Virginia is scheduled to make his first court appearance.
Neil Allan MacInnis is due in Montgomery County General District Court on Monday. He is being arraigned on four felony charges related to the shooting incident Friday at a satellite campus of New River Community College at a mall in Christiansburg. He is charged with two counts each of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and malicious wounding.
MacInnis is likely to be assigned an attorney at the court hearing.
Police arrested MacInnis within minutes of the shooting. Both women injured in the shootings have been reported in stable condition.
Investigators have said they don’t know what motivated the shootings.
